IMPHAL, Sep 11 : The claims made by the interim president of Manipur People’s Party (MPP) regarding the reorganisation of the party are not legitimate claims and should be annulled, claimed former general secretary of MPP, SK Moirangcha.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today, Moirangcha said that as per directives given by the High Court of Manipur, CEO Manipur had conducted election for president of MPP.
However, instead of 96 voters, 18 extra voters were added and a total of 114 voters cast their votes against the constitution of MPP, SK Moirangcha alleged. A formal complaint had also been raised to the Court regarding such misconduct in the election, he added.
SK Moirangcha expressed concern if the interim president was deliberately acting against the constitution of the party with the aim of bringing down the party. He also added that all orders and resolutions passed by the interim president should be annulled.
