Manipur records 4 new cases

IMPHAL, Sep 13 : The State reported 4 new COVID-19 cases and no Covid related fatalities during the last 24 hours.
The 4 new cases, all from the general population, were reported from Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1), Ukhrul (1) and Kangpokpi (1). As the 4 new cases were detected out of 386 samples tested for Covid, the daily positivity rate stood at 1 percent.
With the addition of these 4 new cases, the cumulative number of positive cases in the State has reached 1,39,768 including 5022 CAPF personnel and 1,34,746 from the general population. The cumulative death toll stayed at 2148 as no new Covid related fatalities were reported during the last 24 hours.
2 individuals were also discharged after completion of surveillance today leaving 25 active cases as of today. The recovery rate now stands at 98.45 percent.
Yesterday, 2188 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered at various vaccination centres. The State, till yesterday, had vaccinated 62.38 percent of its eligible population with the first dose while 54.59 percent had received their second dose.
