KANGPOKPI, Sep 15: A man was killed when he was hit by a truck at Yaikongpao village along NH-2 at around 5 pm today.
The victim has been identified as Seiminlal alias Lalbem Tuboi (37), son of Paothong Tuboi of Gelnal village but staying at Kangpokpi Nanglhun Veng Ward No 15. The victim was said to be an entrepreneur. The driver of the truck reportedly fled the scene after the fatal incident. The victim was riding a two-wheeler when he was knocked down by the speeding truck. On learning about the incident, Kangpokpi police and Kangpokpi Youth Union rushed to the spot. Kangpokpi police have sent the body for post-mortem.
