IMPHAL, Sep 20 : The Shirui Village Authority (SVA) has written to the State Government to recall and nullify all notifications and publications issued on matters pertaining to development of a National Park at the village.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the SVA said that the villagers of Shirui reaffirmed their stand against the proposal to develop Shirui National Park during a Shirui Village assembly held on September 10 last.The SVA continued that the people of Shirui will take up a series of actions if the Forest Department fails to give a positive response.
