LSTB hails

IMPHAL, Sep 21 : The Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) has expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, who is also the president of the board, for sending recommendation to the Centre to recognise Sanamahi community as a minority.
At a time when a mere 7.8 percent of the State’s population are followers of Sanamahism (as per 2011 census report), recognition of Sanamahi community as minority will help the community in various ways, said LSTB in a statement issued today.
LSTB also expressed gratitude for the decision taken at the recent Assembly session to recognise Sanamahism as a separate religion and removed it from others category in census report.
