CHANDEL, Sep 20: Union Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti Prahlad Singh Patel today inspected several projects being implemented in Chandel under the Aspirational Districts Programme.
Prahlad made his first stop at Penaching where he made a direct assessment of the Jal Jeevan Mission being implemented there.
He then inspected the condition of Chandel District Hospital and inspected Covid vaccination including booster dose being carried out there.
He also interacted with doctors and staff of Chandel District Hospital on the requirements of the hospital.
The Union MoS then inspected the site selected for a food processing unit at Liwa Khullen where he interacted with the local people.
Prahlad Singh Patel also visited stalls opened at the district level competition for junior chefs (pre-school children) and budding chefs (adolescents) for healthy recipes.
Later, he held a review meeting with district level officers at the Chandel DC office and deliberated on different Central sponsored schemes being implemented in Chandel district including Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission.
ADM Chandel Md Firoj Khan gave a presentation using slides on the Central schemes being implemented in the district.
Remarking that Chandel district is a very beautiful place, Prahlad Singh Patel said that the district can become a place of inspiration and attraction for many people if it is developed properly. It is the wish of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take Central sponsored schemes to interior areas, he added.
The Prime Minister has initiated a number of schemes/projects in backward areas. LPG is being provided to people who hitherto had no access to LPG and financial assistance of up to Rs five lakh is being given for medical treatment under Ayushman Bharat, Prahlad Singh Patel added.
