Tree plantation drive conducted

As part of a Van Mohatsav, 69 Battalion CRPF today organised a mass tree plantation drive at Bn HQr Mantripukhri, Imphal.
During the drive conducted under the supervision of Gobardhan Sethi, Second-In-Command, Commandant-69 Bn (AOL), officers, SOs and men of the Unit planted about 1,225 saplings with the aim to make the planet greener and better place for one & all, said a release issued by 69 Bn CRPF.
The mass plantation drive was carried out using ‘Miyawaki Method’ which creates sustainable forest in a small area.
Gobardhan Sethi inaugurated the drive by planting a sapling at Unit HQr.
All Unit personnel took a solemn pledge to take care of the plants till they can survive on their own and contribute to the creation of a greener world.
