3 held with invalid ILP

THOUBAL, Jan 3 : Lilong police on Monday arrested three non locals who stayed in Manipur with invalid ILP passes.
The three non-Manipuris have been identified as Afajuddin Laskar (29), s/o Tajuddm Laskar, Anwar Hussain Laskar (28) and Jomir Hussain Laskar (24), s/o Sainul Haque Laskar. All three of them are from Cachar, Assam.
According to reliable sources, Afajuddin Laskar was picked up from the residence of Md Atao (45), s/o Md Siraj Ahamed at Lilong Uku while Anwar Hussain Laskar and Jomir Hussain Laskar were picked up from the house of Md Sahidul Haque (35), s/o Md Fajul Haque of Lilong Leihaokhong. After producing three of them before the media at Lilong police station, Thoubal SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam said that the arrested trio are labourers and they will be sent back to their native places shortly. Saying that Thoubal police will continue the ILP drive and find  out the non locals staying in Manipur illegally, the SP appealed to all landlords and others concerned to verify the ILP documents of  the non locals before renting out a room to them. He also said that legal proceedings will be initiated against the landlords if found renting out a room to non locals without fulfilling the conditions of ILP guidelines from now on.
