YWC-L, ICSA stretch winning run in U-14 Girls Inter Club Football Tournament

IMPHAL, Jan 5 : YWC-Langthabal and ICSA-Irengbam extended their winning run to two games in the ongoing S Tombi Singh Memorial 4th U-14 Girls Inter Club Football Tournament organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf Ground today.
The fourth match of the tournament saw YWC-L clinching a slender 1-0 win over FC Imphal for the second win after thrashing YWC-Thambalkhong in the previous match.
The lone goal that helped YWC seal another three points was scored by Sorokhaibam Silky in the 43rd minute.
In the next match, ICSA who won 1-0 in the previous match against WFA bettered their performance today to pull off a 3-0 win over WAFA, Wangoi.
Laishram Rani scored a brace (10', 24') in the first half and Oinam Retika (63') netted once to earn ICSA a comfortable win today.
In the 6th match of the tournament staged later in the day, YWC-Th opened their winning account with a 3-0 thrashing of Women Football Academy.
YWC-Th had a slender 1-0 first half lead thanks to Huidrom Joyshini goal in the fourth minute before Wairokpam Monika (58') and Mangpineng Khongsai (64') took their turns to score a goal each in the second half to set up the 3-0 rout of WFA.
