Medical camp conducted at various places

CHD/THB, Jan 5 : Scarlet Eye-Care & Contact Lenses Clinic Thoubal, Green Valley Welfare Association and Heirok United today jointly organised a 1-day free eye testing camp at Heirok Part 1 Umang Laikol under the theme, "Better vision for a better Life".
During the camp, a total of 82 patients were examined for eye related problems.
Spectacle frames were distributed to 56 patients and medicines to 73 patients.
Moreover, as a part of Operation Sadbhavna, Sehlon Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) conducted medical camps at Phaiphenkot and Theijam villages in Chandel district.
The medical camp was organised to assist the villagers of remote areas who have no access to basic healthcare services, said a release issued by PRO of IGAR(S).
During the camp, the team consisting of one doctor and six paramedics of Sehlon Battalion provided medical care and medicines to the patients. The medical team also made the public aware about various lifestyle diseases and importance of hygiene & sanitation.
A total of 278 villagers benefitted from the medical camp.
