65th Annual Conference cum Felicitation held

IMPHAL, Oct 9 : Cultural Forum Manipur on Saturday organised its 65 Annual Conference cum Felicitation along with a Symposium on "Life & works of ex-MP Prof Ningthoukhongjam Tombi" at the Auditorium of JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal.
Speaking on the occasion, JN Manipur Dance Academy Director, P Bilash recalled the contributions of Prof Ningthoukhongjam Tombi in the field of Arts & Culture of Manipur.
He also stressed on the need to preserve and promote the Culture and Literature of the State.
As part of the event, former Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, Prof C Amuba released the journal published by Cultural Forum Manipur entitled, "Ritu".
Two books, "Taibang Punshi" and "Hourakpham" authored by Lairenlakpam Iboton and  Sonia Khundrakpam respectively were also released.
The Forum also accorded warm welcome and presented simple gifts to award winners namely- Prof Koijam Shantibala (Sahitya Akademi Award 2022), Sonia Khundrakpam (Yuva Puraskar 2022), Dr Waikhom Chingkheinganba (Saratchandra Chattopadhyay Puraskar 2023) and Prof H Tombi (Sangeet Natak Akademi Amrit Award 2023).
Two senior members of the Forum, Nongmaithem Nilamani and Shanglakpam Achou were also felicitated during the event.
