Cancer awareness programme held

Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre in association with JCI Imphal Iconic organised a One Day Cancer Awareness & Risk Assessment Programme for early detection of cancer at Dharamshala, Thangal Bazar.
The programme included awareness sessions, risk assessment, and screening for major forms of cancer, said Karkinos in a release.
It was attended by several men and women along with the members of JCI Imphal Iconic.
Karkinos Healthcare Manipur also organised a health session to raise awareness about the importance of proper diet, hygiene, fitness and healthy lifestyle.
A medical team of senior doctors which included Dr RK Gautamjit, Dr Thingujam James, and Dr Arpana along with RMOs, and nurses were present to conduct the risk assessment and cancer screening programme.
Moreover, All Manipur Ethnical Socio-Cultural Organisation (AMESCO) in collaboration with LAYA Club also conducted a Cancer Awareness cum Medical Camp & ABHA Registration Programme at the relief camp opened in Wangoo Mayai Leikai.
In a release, AMESCO extended its appreciation to the Medical Directorate, Lamphel, CMO Kakching and Kangleipak Nursing Institute for their support & cooperation in making the medical camp a success.
