K Robindro aids MMA fighter Md Nawaz Sharif

IMPHAL, Oct 19 : Having aided Thounaojam Bambam earlier this month, Mayang Imphal AC MLA K Robindro has also extended monetary aid to another MMA fighter Md Nawaz Sharif who will also be attending MMA World Cup due to be held in December this year.
Robindro, who is also the Chairman of MANIDCO, formally handed over the financial assistance and extended best wishes to Md Nawaz Sharif at his official quarter at Babupara. Md Nawaz Sharif, is the son of Md Ayub Khan of Chirai under Mayang Imphal AC.
Nawaz Sharif will be competing in the 60 kg category.
Notably, Nawaz Sharif's participation at the Russia event, like in Bambam's case, was also in doubt owing to financial constraint faced by the family.
Nawaz on receiving the aid said it could be at least make up in his travel expenses. His coach has been encouraging to take part in the world cup, he said.
He had wanted to undertake a training session at Goa before the event but it will not be possible this time, he said with regret.
