Hosts Ng Mani College outclass MU 6-0 in MU Inter College Women's football tourney opener

IMPHAL, Oct 24 : Hosts Ng Mani College romped past Manipur 6-0 in the opening match of the A Borchand Singh Memorial Manipur University Inter College Women's Football Tournament at YOSC-Khabeisoi playground.
6 teams are participating in the tournament being held under the supervision of MU Sports Committee.
Sh Monalisa (3'), L Shital (7'), Amita (10'), Nanao (14'), Lamnganbi (35') and Dayani (40') added a goal apiece in Ng Mani College's comprehensive victory over Manipur University to set up semi-final date with Shree Shree Gourgovind Girls' College.
The match starts at 2.30 pm tomorrow.
In another clash, TS Paul Women's College devastated NIELIT 13-0 courtesy a haul of four goals from L Rejiya (24', 28', 38', 41') and a treble from Kh Bidyarani (38', 10', 26').
Ph Ashila (2', 6') and Priyadarshini (5',18') also struck two goals each in this completely lopsided encounter as Pillu Sharma (30') and E Sonia (50') found a goal each.
They will play Biramangol College, who got a bye, in the first semi-final match on October 25. The match starts at 12.30 pm.
