NAGPUR, Oct 24
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat on Tuesday asked if extremists across the border were involved in Manipur violence.
"For many years, Meitei and Kuki communities have been living together. How did the violence erupt all of a sudden ? The conflict benefits external forces. Are external factors involved," Bhagwat said, while addressing the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur.
"Union Home Minister Amit Shah was there for three days. Who actually fueled the conflict ? It (violence) is not happening, it is being made to happen," Bhagwat said.
The RSS chief said he was proud of the Sangh workers who worked in Manipur to restore peace.
Some anti-social people call themselves cultural Marxists but they have forgotten Marx, he said.
Bhagwat cautioned against attempts to garner votes by inflaming emotions ahead of 2024 general elections.
He asked people to vote keeping in mind unity, integrity, identity and development of the country.
Asking how mutual discord and hatred suddenly erupted in Manipur, which had been peaceful for almost a decade, he wondered if any foreign powers are interested in taking advantage of the unrest and instability in Manipur.
Why, and by whom, was an attempt made to give a communal tinge to the  conflict between the Meeteis and Kukis, he further asked.
Further questioning if the geopolitics of South East Asia have a role in Manipur violence, the RSS leader  asked on whose strength and instigation has the violence continued unabated for so many days.
People on both sides of the conflict want peace, but there are some forces which let the violence to linger  on, he said.
Continuing that multidimensional efforts will be required to solve the grave problem in Manipur, Mohan Bhagwat stated that strong political will, concurrent actions and efficiency are the key to restore normalcy in the State.
Simultaneously, the enlightened leadership of the society will also have to play a special role in bridging the gap of mutual distrust that has arisen due to the unfortunate situation between the two communities, he  said.
The swayamsevaks of the Sangh are continuously and dedicatedly serving everyone and organising relief work, he said while appealing to the influential people of the society to help bring peace.
It’s the Sangh’s endeavour to keep everyone safe,  harmonious and peaceful by accepting everyone as they are even if it entails great sacrifices, Mohan Bhagwat continued.
Meanwhile, the RSS chief said that  some people who call themselves "woke and cultural Marxists" are the ones who do not want India to stand on its own.
These people attempt creating "discrimination and separation" in the society and that they have forgotten Marx since the 1920s, Mohan Bhagwat added.
"In today's situation, if we bring about change by standing on our values, it will give way to the world. Now we have started doing this. But there are some people in the world and in India too, who do not want India to stand (on its own). Hence they try to create discrimination in society. (And attempt) How to break the constructed collectivity of the society, create separation and conflict," he said.
"These destructive, all-devouring forces call themselves cultural Marxists or Woke, or the awakened ones. But they have forgotten Marx since the 1920s. They are opposed to all orderliness and morality, beneficence, culture, dignity and restraint in the world. In order for a handful of people to have complete control over the entire human race, they reward, promote and spread anarchy and indiscretion," Bhagwat said.
"Their modus operandi involve taking control of the media and academia, and plunging education, culture, politics and social environment into confusion, chaos, and corruption. Such an environment enables the creation of a vicious cycle of fear, confusion and hatred. A society that is divided and entangled in mutual conflicts and confusion becomes weak and easily and unknowingly falls prey to these destructive forces that are seeking their own dominance everywhere. In Bharatiya tradition, this style of functioning which creates disbelief, confusion and mutual hatred among the people of any particular Nation is called Mantra Viplav," he added.
The annual 'Vijayadashmi Utsav' of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) started with workers' 'Path Sanchalan' (route march) in Nagpur earlier today.
On the occasion, the RSS chief paid tributes to the founder of the organization KB Hedgewar. He also performed 'Shastra Pooja' on 'Vijayadashami Utsav'.
