SSGG, Biramangol College emerge MU Inter College Handball tourney champions

IMPHAL, Oct 30 : SSGG College and Biramangol College were crowned women's and men's MU Inter College Handball Tournament champions.
In the final matches of the tournament hosted by Biramangol College at Chingarel Tejpur playground, SSGG College overwhelmed hosts Biramangol College 29-20 to seal the women's title while hosts Biramangol clinched the men's title with a 20-14 win over Pravabati College.
In the women's final, Th Anjubala scored 16 goals H Jenita and Th Jenila added 4 and 3 goals respectively. I Ronibala led the scoring for Biramangol College adding 7 goals while Y Monika and A Roshini scored 4 and 5 goals respectively. Th Anjubala of SSGG was adjudged best women player and H Abesana was declared best goalkeeper.
Th Silheiba in the meantime led the scoring for Biramangol College scoring 11 goals followed by Rajeswor K (3), K Athouba (2) and L Hemba (2).
Th Silheiba was named best player of the tournament as his compatriot N Ronak was adjudged best goalkeeper.
