Breast Cancer Awareness Month observed

AOI Babina Specialty Hospital on Saturday observed Breast Cancer Awareness Month under the theme "Thrive 365", with the empowering slogan "Pink Together, Stronger Forever".
 Breast Cancer Awareness Month is observed globally in October to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, and provide support to those affected by the disease, said AOI Babina Specialty Hospital in a release.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Dhabali Thangjam expressed that AOI Babina Specialty Hospital will be conducting a series of awareness programs throughout the month of October.
"These programs will include educational sessions at Manipur University, colleges, higher secondary schools and social media platforms aimed at educating students about breast cancer prevention and early detection" said Dr Dhabali while adding that Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent forms of cancer affecting women worldwide and most common in Manipur.
"It is imperative that we come together as a community to spread awareness, emphasize the importance of early detection, and provide support to those in need", he added.
Manas Majumder, Facility Director of AOI Babina Specialty Hospital, emphasized the significance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.
He said, "Early detection is the best way of treatment. We urge the society to join hands with us in supporting patients through their journey. AOI Babina Specialty Hospital is dedicated to providing affordable treatment options to ensure that every patient receives the care they need".
