Imphal to Moirang "Run for Peace" on November 12

IMPHAL, Nov 9: The Sports Authority of India, STC Khuman Lampak, Imphal is organising a peace run under the banner "Run for Peace" on Sunday, November 12, from Imphal to Moirang.
Around 100 athletes of SAI along with staff and coaches will participate in the peace campaign. The run will start from Khuman Lampak, Imphal at around 2.30 am and will reach Moirang around 8.30 am.
After arriving at Moirang, financial assistance, donated by employees of SAI STC Imphal will be handed over to relief camp at Moirang. The motto of the run is to restore normalcy in Manipur and give moral support to the displaced people in relief camps, and to develop will power of the athletes. The peace campaign is not related to any political party as well as civil society organisations, said SAI STC Imphal. SAI STC Imphal requested all concerned not to disturb the event and exempt it from the purview of any bandh or general strike.
