Cancer awareness and screening programme held

To create awareness about cancer-care among the people of Manipur, Karkinos Manipur Cancer Institute & Research Centre in association with Manipur University of Culture organized a 1-Day Cancer Awareness and Screening Programme at the Manipur University of Culture, Palace Compound, Imphal East on Thursday.
It was attended by several teaching and non-teaching staff & students of the Manipur University of Culture, said Karkinos in a release.
The programme included general health check-up, oral examination, clinical breast examination, cervical screening (HPV) and risk assessment (CRA) along with an awareness session.
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) cards were also created for the students and staff.
A highly experienced medical team composed of Dr Nandan Choudhary, Dr Arpana Okram, RMOs, nurses and lab technicians were present to conduct the cancer screening programme.
