AMBBA accords warm reception to State bodybuilders

IMPHAL, Nov 13 : The All Manipur Body Builders Association (AMBBA) today accorded a warm reception to three athletes from Manipur who represented India in the 14th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2023 as they landed here at Imphal.
The championship was held in Wonju City, South Korea from November 6 to 12 and one among the three State athletes received a bronze medal while two others made good finishes.
At the championship, Manipur's Thingujam Ritesh won India a bronze medal in the junior men's upto 75 kg category bodybuilding competition.
Meanwhile Zenika Naorem secured fourth and fifth places respectively in the women's junior model physique and women's junior fitness physique competitions as Solimla Jajo finished fifth in  upto 165 cm women's one-piece swimsuit competition.
Thingujam Ritesh and Zenika Naorem train at Sangai Gym, Khagempalli while Solimla Jajo trains at Royal Gymnasium in Ukhrul.
