Held with arms and ammunition

IMPHAL, Nov 14: Security forces carried out search operations in several areas and arrested one active member of proscribed KYKL along with arms and ammunition from Imphal West district today.
From the possession of the cadre, security forces seized one 9mm Pistol, two Magazines with 16 live rounds, one car, Rs 92,000 in cash and four mobile phones, said Manipur Police Control Room.
Further, security forces installed 133 checkpoints in vulnerable areas and detained as many as 794 persons for violation of various restrictions.
Movement of 349 vehicles along National Highway-37 and 814 vehicles along NH-2 were ensured today. Strict security measures have been taken in all sensitive and vulnerable locations, said the PCR.
