Natl Pedodontist Day, Children’s Day observed

IMPHAL, Nov 14 : RIMS celebrated the National Pedodontist Day and Children’s Day (week) at its Department of Paediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Dental College on “To create public awareness about the speciality of paediatric dentistry & importance of children’s oral health,” today.
The event was graced by RIMS Director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma as chief guest, Principal of RIMS Dental College Prof B Praveen Reddy as president and Medical Superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh and retd HOD of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Dental College, RIMS Professor O Brajachand Singh as guests of honour.
During the programme, the RIMS Director stressed on the importance of oral health of children and for everyone to stay healthy. He also said that they at RIMS are committed to make the dental college of RIMS one the best in the whole country,
Further, Prof G Sunil Kumar said that MDS courses for six subjects and Senior Residency for the dental college will be starting in 2024-25 session.
A painting competition was also held as part of National Pedodontist Day for school students in three groups.
40 children took part in the painting competition and the participants were given gifts.
The celebration was attended by officials, faculty members, staff and students of Dental College, RIMS.
