National Games : Sanatombi, Jagadish strike gold medals as judokas add 6 medals on Day 13Boxers add three bronze medals

IMPHAL, Nov 7 : Manipur judokas continued to stamp their authority in the discipline as they added two gold, two silver and two bronze medals to State's tally in the ongoing 37th National Games hosted by Goa.
After Takhellambam Inunganbi (-70 kg) and Maibam Indubala (-78 kg) had clinched a goal medal each, L Sanatombi topped the women's -48 kg category competition to win the third gold and Laishram Jagadish bagged the -66 kg category gold medal in the men's competition.
Meanwhile, Laishram Monalisha (-48 kg) and Huidrom Sunibala (-63 kg) bagged a silver medal each after suffering defeats in the final as Irengbam Kalpana (-63 kg) and Ningthoujam Sarda (-52 kg) settled for the bronze medals.
With these judokas have won 8 medals from Campal Open Ground in Panjim.
Thee State boxers falter in semis
The day also saw three State boxers winning bronze medals after semi-final losses.
Pukhrambam Jakson went down by 4-1 points against Ch Bishwamitra of Services in an elite men's 48-51 kg category semi-final bout while Ashalata Chanu suffered a 0-5 loss to Goa's Sakshi in an elite women's 48-50 kg semi-final clash.
Meanwhile, Ojibala Thounaojam grabbed the other bronze medal going down to Prajapati Ice of UP in an elite women's 52-54 kg semi-final clash.
With 9 medals registered today, Manipur have amassed 79 medals including 29 gold, 21 silver and 27 bronze.
