New Eastern Army Commander

IMPHAL, Dec 18: Lieutenant General RC Tiwari has been appointed as the new Eastern Army Commander. He will be succeeding incumbent Lieutenant General RP Kalita who is superannuating on December 31. Lieutenant General RC Tiwari is presently commanding the Uttar Bharat Area and has also commanded the 3 Corps. He was commissioned into the Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army in 1987.
