IMPHAL, Dec 21 : The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the 13th batch BSc nursing students of Kangleipak Medical & Nursing Institute was held at the institute's premises in Khurai Konsam Leikai premises on Wednesday.
The ceremony was attended by Kangleipak Medical & Nursing Institute principal Prof Ningombam Nalinibala, Mothers' Care Children Hospital & Research Centre chairman cum managing director Dr Khumanthem Ratankumar, Khongnangthaba University managing director Kh Ratna Devi and Manipur Nursing Council, Registrar, Aribam Jamuna as presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Nalinibala said that the Kangleipak Medical & Nursing Institute is one of the private institutes in the State offering BSc Nursing course since 2011 and MSc Nursing course from 2022.
She continued that the institute is affiliated to Manipur University and is under the Manipur Nursing Council.
Prof Nalinibala further urged all the students who are stepping into the nursing profession to serve the patients with compassion and extreme care without any discrimination based on colour, caste or creed.
Altogether, 36 students took oath during the ceremony.
