Poppy plantations destroyed at Ukl

IMPHAL, Dec 7 : A combined team of security forces destroyed 60 acres (approx) of poppy plantations at Khamasom village in Ukhrul district yesterday, said the Police Control Room in its daily bulletin.
The Control Room continued that the situation in Manipur was under control in the last 24 hours while movement of 637 vehicles with essential items was ensured along National Highway-37 (341) and National Highway-2 (296).
Strict security measures have been taken up in all vulnerable locations, it added.
