School inspection: Jiribam DC assesses teachers' attendance, syllabus

JIRIBAM, Jan 31: Jiribam Deputy Commissioner W Malemnganba Chenglei, IAS, carried out inspection of two secondary schools in Jiribam district today.
The Jiribam DC was accompanied by many officials during the inspection visit including Thoudam Amurashi Chanu, ZEO Jiribam; M Devananda Singh, MES, SDC, Borobekra and RK Sailesh, BDO Borobekra among others.
At 9:30 am, the inspection team visited Jiribam Higher Secondary School and carried out an assessment of the attendance of the school teachers, the syllabus and how much of it had been covered as well as the performance of the teachers with regards to the special remedial coaching conducted by them.
Notably, the DC instructed the principal of Jiribam Higher Secondary School to withhold salary payment of a teacher who had been absent for a prolonged period of time.
Following this, the inspection team visited Borobekra Higher Secondary School around 11:30 am wherein the Jiribam DC  personally interacted with Class XI and Class XII students and enquired after their educational needs.
After wishing the students success in their upcoming exams, DC Jiribam held a discussion with the teachers of the school.
Further, he encouraged the teachers to impart education to the young students sincerely with dedication and help them achieve success in their examinations.
