Family of slain BJP leader denies accusation

Thoubal, Feb 3 : Wife of BJP leader Laishram Rameshwar Singh who was shot dead on January 24 last has denied the claim that her husband was killed in self defence by the main accused.
Convenor of BJP Manipur Pradesh Ex-servicemen Cell, Laishram Rameshwar (55) son of L Nimai of Thoubal Kshetrileikai Makha Leikai was shot dead near his house.
Speaking to media persons at her residence, Nirmala, wife of the deceased, claimed that her husband never took out his license gun during the incident which killed Rameshwar.
She also said she has proof of her allegations.
Saying that there are photos of  the main accused Ayekpam Keshorjit of Haobam Marak Irom Leikai removing his license gun in the mobile phone of her husband, she claimed that the wife of the main accused Romila might also be included in hatching  conspiracy to kill her husband and demanded her (Romila) arrest.
All these photos were captured at around 11.07 am on January 24 last.  
"The claim raised by Romila that my husband was killed by the accused to defend himself in a complaint lodged to police is totally baseless and fabricated," she claimed.
