Manipur enter Khelo India girls football final

IMPHAL, Feb 8 : Manipur have made it to the final of the Khelo India Youth Games 2022 girls football competition after defeating hosts Madhya Pradesh 3-0 at Mulna Football Stadium, Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, today.
In the semi-final staged today, Babita Oinam Devi scored a brace while her compatriot Bijeya Laishram netted another and gave Manipur  the big win.
Notably, Manipur entered the last four rounds by topping Group A competition with a 3-2 win over West Bengal. In their previous matches, the State team also sealed a convincing 7-0 against Bihar and 4-1 win against Haryana in their first two games.
Manipur scored one goal in the first half and two in the second.
Babita opened the account for Manipur in the 28th minute while her team-mate Bijeya doubled the advantage in the 55th minute .
Before the final whistle, Babita struck one more goal and took home the win.
