IMPHAL, Mar 13 : KSDO Kiyamgei beat YWC Langthabal by four wickets in today's league match of the 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2022-23 staged at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
Opting to bat first, YWC set a target of 127 while the Kiyamgei side completed the chase in 27.3 overs.
In the first innings, the Langthabal side struggled to make runs in the initial phase as they lost some early wickets.
Lakimbur and Shajahan of KSDO clinched three wickets each and they were the highest wicket takers of the winning side while team-mates Mohammed Shamir Khan fell two wickets.
Tarique Aziz and Shah Nawaz also took one wicket each in the innings.
Only three batsmen of the Langthabal side scored double digit runs and they were Pukhrambam Prashantamani who knocked 47 runs off 29 balls, Heisnam Manikanta (20 runs off 45 deliveries) and Ngangbam Bikramjit Singh (14 runs off 25 balls).
The Kiyamgei side completed the chase in 27.3 overs (129/6) with maximum runs coming from right handed Abdul Rafique (46 runs off 47 balls), Nawaz Sharif (25 runs off 39 balls) and Shajahan (13 runs off 19 balls),
The wicket takers of the losing side were Seram Robinson (1 wkt), Ngangbam Bishwash Singh (2 wkts), Pukhrambam Prashantamani (2 wkts) and Yenshenbam Vivek (1 wkt).
At the end of the chase, Md Arif Khan scored unbeaten 10 runs off 20 balls while Tarique Aziz scored hit unbeaten 6 runs off 6 balls. Sahajahan of KSDO was declared man of the match.
