2nd Chumbang Cup Khungjuur, RSC, Bukhrol register victories in similar style

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : Khungjuur, RSC and Bukhrol registered victories in their maiden matches of the ongoing 2nd Chumbang Cup at Chumbang Ground, today and advanced to the next round of the tournament.
Khungjuur beat Meipou YC 4-3, RSC overwhelmed Kuuringmul 6-5 and Bukhrol defeated Anthony Memorial  6-5. All three games were decided via penalty shoot-out.
The first match was staged between Khungjuur beat Meipou.
Kopha Deen opened the account for Khungjuur in the 19th minute while Wangkheiphou struck the equaliser in the 50+2', paving a way for the shoot-out.
In the penalty, two of Meipou YC's players missed the shot while only one of the winning side missed the same.
Khungjuur beat Meipou YC 4-3 via penalty.
The second match also ended in a similar pattern with RSC overwhelming Kuuringmul 6-5 in penalty after a 1-1 tie in the normal time.
The losing side failed to convert two shots in the penalty while Kuuringmul missed one.
RSC overwhelmed Kuuringmul 6-5 via penalty.
In the last match of the day, Bukhrol defeated Anthony Memorial  6-5 via penalty after a 1-1 tie in the normal time.
The winning side converted all five shots while Anthony Memorial missed one.
Bukhrol defeated Anthony Memorial  6-5 via penalty.
The three winning teams have advanced to the next round of the tournament.
