Cherishma bags silver in Sr Intl Incline Bench Press C'ship

IMPHAL, Mar 14 : L Cherishma has won a silver medal for the country in the Senior International Strength Lifting and Incline Benchpress Championship which was held from March 11 to 13 at Kathmandu, Nepal under the aegis of World Strength Lifting Federation.
She lifted 72.5 kg in the senior women's incline bench press event (52 kg) to win the medal.
Altogether eight lifters from India including three from Manipur took part in the championship.
Secretary general of Manipur Strength Lifting Federation Kh Ningthem also took part in the championship as a team official.
