IMPHAL, Mar 15 : Chandonpokpi and Lambung YC have advanced to the next round of the 2nd Chumbang Cup underway at Chumbang Ground, Chandel.
While Chandonpokpi got a walkover as Liwa Khullen didn't turn up in the opening match of the day, Lambung YC beat Penaching 2-1 to advance to the next round in the second.
The match staged between Lambung YC and Penaching witnessed the former sealing a narrow 2-1 win.
Both the goals of the winning side were netted in the first half while the lone goal of Penaching was struck in the second.
Angningwar opened the account for the winning side in the 6th minute while his team-mate Morningson doubled the lead in the 13th minute.
The only goal of Penaching was scored by Kenish in the 46th minute.
