RCA beat CDCC in MNCA Superplate tourney

IMPHAL, Mar 15 : RCA Lilong beat CDCC Sagolband Salam Leikai by 103 runs in VJD method in today's league match of the 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak.
Batting first, RCA scored 235 runs in 40 overs but the target was reduced to 221 as per VJD method (29 overs).
At least two batters of the Lilong side struck half centuries including  tail ender Aziz Mizra who smashed 71 runs off 21 balls with a strike  rate of 244.83. The other batsman who hit a half century was Afjal Khan (52 runs off 61 balls) while top order Imran Khan (34 runs off 37 balls) and Syed Hussain (45 runs off 61 balls) also showcased their batting prowess.
Kshetrimayum Robert picked up maximum wickets (3 wkts) for the losing side.
In the chase, CDCC managed to accumulate only 117/9 with Viking Salam as the highest scorer (31 off 51 balls) and ultimately lost the game.
The wicket takers of RCA were Md Danish Khan (4 wkts), Naesh Hussain (3 wkts) and Bm Sabakhan (2 wkts). Md Danish Khan was given the man of the match title.
