Muvanlai get the better of PSC in MNCA Superplate tourney

IMPHAL, Mar 16 : Muvanlai, New Lambulane got the better of PSC Khoyathong in today's league match of the 2nd MNCA  Superplate Tournament staged at Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak .
Muvanlai beat PSC by four wickets.
PSC knocked 178 runs in the 40 over match while Muvanlai completed the chase in 35.4 overs.
PSC lost some early wickets without making many runs and it was their middle order Kharaijam Sagarjit Singh (43 off 77 balls) and Nameirakpam Vikash (47 runs off 56 balls) who played a key role in setting their target at 178.
Gouminlen Kipgen fell the maximum wickets in the innings  (3 wkts) while Sapam Nandakumar (2 wkts), Avinash Asmali (2 wkts), Khaikhotinlan Haokip (1 wkt) and Phurba Sherpa (1 wkt)  clinched the others.
Muvanlai completed the chase in 35.4 overs (182/6) with opener Haolengou Kipgen smashing 46 off 81 deliveries and   Gouminlun Kipgen hitting 45 off 52 balls.
The wicket takers of PSC, on the other hand, were Lamabam Martin Singh (2 wkts), Moirangthem Thomson (2 wkts) and Ningthoujam Ranjan Singh (1 wkt).
Gouminlen Kipgen was declared man of the match for his all round performance.
