Hand murder case of Aging to NIA demand raised

IMPHAL, Mar 17 : At least six Ima Lups have resolved to take up different modes of agitation by collaborating with the JAC concerned if the Government fails to hand over the murder case of AK Nongnganba to National Investigation Agency (NIA) by March 20.
AK Nongnganba alias Aging of Kwakeithel Konjeng Awang Leikai was found dead on February 11 at Changoubung village, Kangpokpi.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur president  Longjam Memchoubi said that the police have already arrested two accused of the case, one of whom is a deputy kilonser of NSCN (IM) while the other is said to be the victim's friend.  
Saying that they along with the JAC have been urging the Government to hand over the case to NIA and reveal the truth, Memchoubi maintained that the Chief Minister had already assured to consider their demand.
She then urged the State Government to hand over the case to NIA by March 20, 'failing which will invite strong agitations.'   
Representatives of AMKIL, IKAL, WASDEV, Kanglamei and SALAI also  attended the press briefing.
