IMPHAL, Mar 17 : Chingkheihunba PC will lock horns with Imphal Riding Club in the title clash of the 2nd State Women's Polo Tournament organised by Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association.
Imphal Riding Club booked their final berth today with 20-2 thrashing of MPSC Polo Team before Chingkheihunba PC trounced Laman Polo Club 14-0 in the other semi-final clash.
Kh Deventy took the centrestage in Imphal Riding Club's 20-2 devastation of MPSC Polo team scoring 8 goals alone, 2 each in four chukkers while her teammate M Priya chipped in 7 goals alone.
Kh Deventy opened the scoring just after the minute mark of the opening chukker and found her second in just 1 minute later. M Priya scored three of her goals in this chukker, M Bijenti scored twice including the second goal and Kh Habe scored one to give Imphal Riding Club an emphatic 8-0 lead over MPSC Polo team.
Deventy scored two more goals in the second chukker and M Priya scored one in the second chukker to make it 11-1 against MPSC whose Gaijillu Golmei scored one in the 6th minute.
M Priya and N Heijen scored a goal each and Kh Deventy scored twice in the third chukker which saw Sushila scoring one to make it 15-2.
Deventy and Priya scored two goals each in the final chukker before M Bijenti rounded off the scoring in the 7th minute.
Neelu RK struck the highest 6 goals for Chingkheihunba PC in the team's big 1 4-0 victory over Laman Polo Club followed by T Sangeeta with 3 goals and Th Sanajaobi and Chaoba with two goals each.
They led the first chukker 3-0 with Sangeeta, Chaoba and star of the day Neelu adding a goal apiece. N Felicia and Neelu added a goal each in the next chukker to make it 5-0 after two chukkers.
Sangeeta, Sanajaobi and Neelu then further extended the lead to 8-0 finding a goal each before Neelu scored thrice and Chaoba, Sangeeta and Sanajaoba all found a goal each to complete the 14-0 demolition of Laman Polo Club today.
The final match is slated for March 19.
