51st Sr Women Handball Nationals Manipur to play Railways in quarterfinal

IMPHAL,  Mar 17 : Manipur will face off against the Railway Sports Promotion Board tomorrow in the quarter final of the ongoing 51st Senior Women National Handball Championship being underway in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh under the supervision of Handball Federation of India since March 15.
Manipur entered the quarter final with an easy 20-9 win over Lakshadweep today in the pre quarter final match courtesy 5 goals each from Th Anjubala and I Ronibala. Dimple M also contributed 4 goals as Ksh Apabi and Th Jenila netted two goals each and Khomeiton and T Ranju added a goal each.
Notably, Manipur had kicked off their group campaign (Pool H) with a 20-18 win over Bihar before easing past Uttarakhand 21-3 and Assaam 22-0 and booked pre-quarter final berth.
Th Anjubala was unstoppable in the league stage scoring 7 against Bihar and Assam and record 8 against Uttarakhand. Th Jenila also scored 4 goals each against Bihar and Uttarakhand and 3 goals against Assam while I Ronibala scored 3 goals against Bihar and Assam and 2 against Uttarakhand.
