The Manipur Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura has expressed happiness at the appointment of Professor Rajen Toijamba, noted writer, critic and educationist as the Convenor of Manipuri Advisory Board by the Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi.
A statement issued by Manipur Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura has shared that Professor Rajen Toijamba has received many prestigious awards in the field of literature including the Sahitya Akademi Award.
He has also attended many programs organised by the Manipur Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura as resource person.
The Professor also presented a paper on "Khongjom Parba" at a seminar held at Khowai in Agartala, the statement added.
The Forum further expressed hope for a resurgence in the popularity of Manipuri literature with Rajen Toijamba's appointment as Convenor of Manipuri Advisory Board.
