"Meeyamgi Numit & Hill Leaders Day" held across State

BPR/CCP/TML/TBL/UKL, Mar 17 : District Administration Bishnupur today observed "Meeyamgi Numit" at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat, Bishnupur district.
During the programme, Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram accompanied by SDOs and DLOs heard the grievances of as many as 140 applicants pertaining to CMHT card, Labour card, Widow Pension, Old Age Pension and Ration Cards among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Lourembam Bikram stated that the district administration will initiate Outreach Meeyamgi Numit events at the field level soon.
He urged the public to imbibe a sense of responsibility towards conservation of common resources in the interest of the future generation.
The DC also distributed Ration cards, Disability certificates, bank pass books, wheelchairs and other devices.
Stalls of several line departments were set up to facilitate different concerns of the public.
Churachandpur
District Administration Churachandpur also organised the District Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit today at Multipurpose Hall, Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong.
DC Churachandpur, Sharath Chandra Arroju, joined by all the DLOs and officers from line departments interacted with the people to ensure that the grievances of the people were addressed adequately.
He distributed 8 water pumps with micro-irrigation equipment from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation department, 29 Kg of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria to 8 beneficiaries from the District Agriculture Office and uniforms to 3 schools.
Altogether, 44 departments opened their stalls and 13 complaints/applications were received  from the public.
TAMENGLONG
District Administration Tamenglong also organised District Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit at Mini Secretariat Auditorium Hall, Tamenglong District Headquarters.
During the event, DC Tamenglong, Pawan Yadav interacted with the public to ensure that their grievances were addressed adequately.
The DC along with the officials led by Thangboi Gangte, ADM Tamenglong ensured the smooth functioning of the event.
25 different Government Departments set up stalls at the event.
For smooth functioning of the programme, dedicated officers Thangboi Gangte and MD Abdul Mazeed, SDC Headquarter were appointed as District Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator respectively.
THOUBAL
Meeyamgi Numit was successfully organised today by the District Administration Thoubal today at the Counting Hall of DC's Office Complex.
DC Thoubal, A Subhash Singh along with DLOs heard various grievances and demands of the public.
The DC stated that the district administration is committed to facilitate benefits of various Government schemes and "Meeyamgi Numit" is a platform to meet & address the grievances of the people.
A total of 131 written applications were received relating to CMHT and pension schemes for widow & old age among others.
21 stalls of different departments were also opened to meet the demand of the public.
SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam; ADM, B Lokeshor Sharma; CMO Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul; SDOs and DLOs of different departments took part in the programme.
Ukhrul
District Administration Ukhrul also organised District Hill Leaders Day & Meeyamgi Numit at DRDA Hall, Mini-Secretariat, Ukhrul.
29 stalls of different Departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.
Altogether, 57 local/ villages were registered and 122 grievances/ applications were received.
The programme was attended by Chunglenmang, ADM Ukhrul; Ningsem Vashum, SP Ukhrul; Shangam; Amit Khaler, ACF; Suranjoy Maibam Singh, SDO Ukhrul; Rohini Kumar AC to DC; Mangminlen Vaiphei, SDO & ADM Jessami among others.
