IMPHAL, Mar 18 : Brain Awareness Week 2023 was organised at the Senate Hall of Manipur University today.
At the programme attended by students of the varsity and schools, Monika Chanu Chongtham, a PhD neurosurgeon student in Germany said March 13 to 18 is observed as Brain Awareness Week all over the world.
Stressing the importance of learning about the brain, she said the programme was organised with the funding of the International Brain Research Organisation.
The programme is aimed at providing awareness to the students about the brain, how it works and changes human behavior, she added.
Imphal West Deputy Commissioner Diana Khumantham, DDK Imphal News Editor Dr Aribam Ibomcha Sharma, Psychiatrist Dr Ashima Haobijam, neuroscientist Dr Reena H and other experts attended the observance.
