Two books from State launched at World Book Fair

IMPHAL, Mar 1: Two books from Manipur have been included among the books launched during the World Book Fair held at New Delhi from February 25-27.
The World Book Fair was organized by the National Book Trust India (NBT) under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
The two books which were included in the book launched are 'Loyangamba' written by Pradium Moirangthem and 'Ode to the Mother' authored by Chanamthabam Ronika.
It may be noted that 'Loyangamba' is based on patriotism  and Japan War while 'Ode to the Mother' is based on Nupi Lan.
These two books were selected for the book launches of the World Book Fair from a large number of entries received.
The organising committee will provide a scholarship of Rs 3 lakhs for a period of six months each to Pradium Moirangthem and Chanamthabam Ronika.
Dr Wahengbam Kumari Chanu of Manipur University was the mentor of Pradium while Achingliu Kamei mentored Ronika and provided valuable advice and suggestions to the two budding writers.
The writers also expressed gratitude to all concerned who have extended support during their course of completing the books.
