IMPHAL, Mar 21 : RULE, Malom sealed a 9 wicket win over Blue Hawk, Khurai in a rain truncated match of the ongoing 7th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament at Khangabok Part III Cherapur Public Ground today.
Put in to bat first in the match which was reduced to 20 overs an innings, Blue Hawk racked up 138 for 6 in 18.2 before rain interrupted forcing to further shorten the innings.
Using VJD, the target was revised at 132 runs in 16 overs and RULE eased to winning 135 in 14.3 overs courtesy unbeaten half centuries from Chabungbam Ishorjit (39-ball 50) and Jay Singh (40-ball 67).
Wakambam Samsam was the leading scorer for Blue Hawk hitting 2 fours and 7 sixes before he was caught behind by Sanjenbam Suresh of the bowling of Jay Singh for 68 runs for the 6th wicket and rain poured down. Earlier, Jay Singh had set up Mintu Chandra run out and picked the wicket of Becker Roy while Nongthombam Denin, Thokchom Kishan and Nongthambam Sarojkumar had picked up a wicket apiece.
In reply, RULE lost Ayekpam Rakesh for 8 at 10 in 1.4 overs to Samsung Huidrom before Ch Ishworjit and Jay Singh took on the Blue Hawk bowlers to steer  RULE to winning 135.
Jay Singh who was unbeaten on 67 and had claimed two wickets for 33 runs in 3.2 overs, earned himself man of the match trophy.
Notably it was the third victory for the Malom team and 9th straight loss for the Khurai Lamlong team.
Elsewhere at Luwangpokpa Cricket Ground, Al-Ameen also sealed their third victory after beating MPSC by 7 runs.
Al-Ameen opted to bat first but were bowled out for 127 runs in 29.4 overs with Indraban S Koijam and Sarangthem Shangker pairing up well to devastate their line up.
MPSC batters however faltered badly in the chase and slumped to 120 all out in 39.2 overs as Al-Ameen bowlers produced exemplary bowling performances.
Md Al Bashid (20), Khullakpam Shahadat Ali (22) and Md Nasirshah Alam Nongjaimayum (15) and Md Kabir Ahmed (16) were the man run getter for Al-Ameen in their innings which saw MPSC's Indraban Koijam (3/40 in 7 overs) and S Shangker (3/4 in 3.4 overs) sharing three wickets each and Oinam Rojit claimed two wickets (2/29 in 6 overs).
In the chase, MPSC had a very sloppy start and reduced to 6 for 2 in 4 overs with Habibullah Ahammed removing both the openers.
With Mustaque Mohammed joining the bowling action and removing three wickets on the trot including Potsangbam Bonem (26) and Laishram Kipajan (24), MPSC further slipped to 73 for 6 in 25.1 overs.
Al Bashid further heaped the pressure on MPSC by removing Soubam Kingson and Chingangbam Lokeshwor cheaply to make it 105 for 8 in 35.2 overs. Habibullah Ahammed completed his treble by getting rid of the highest run getter of MPSC- Sarangthem Shangker for 28 runs before Al Bashid had his way to undone Indraban (9) and wrapped up the innings at 120.
Mustaque Mohammed who clinched three wickets and added 3 runs to his team's tally was adjudged man of the match.
