Foundation day

IMPHAL, Mar 21 : The Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK) observed its 29th foundation day at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul, today.
Former Art and Culture Director Dr K Sobita Devi, CLK president Ch Pakpi and National cum international awardee H Ibotombi Khuman attended the programme as chief guest, pre- sident and guest of honour respectively.
At the function, Ch Pakpi said that CLK was formed on March 21, 1993 with a vision to bring about a change in the socio-economic situation of Manipur and fight crime against women.
Saying that CLK took part in many movements to save Manipur and protect the rights of the common folk, Ch Pakpi maintained that they have also taken up many welfare works by collaborating with like minded groups.
