Forest fire breaks out in Sanji hill

THOUBAL, Mar 25 : A wildfire broke out at Sanji Hill near Tekcham Maning on Friday evening at around 6.30 pm.
After receiving information about the fire, staff of Thoubal Forest Range and Kakching Range reacted immediately and rushed to the site to assess the situation.
Later, teams of Kakching Fire Service and Khongjom Police Station reportedly brought the fire under control at around 11pm with the assistance of the villagers and local clubs.
Meanwhile, staff of Kakching Range and Thoubal Range on Saturday morning visited suspected areas to find out the cause of the fire.
