Abducted, freed

IMPHAL, Mar 31 : A group of unknown miscreants allegedly held two residents of Chanam Sandrok Village, including former Pradhan captive for a few hours and released them later.
The two persons are former Pradhan of Chanam Sandrok Heirom Suresh (47) who is preparing to contest the Zilla Parishad election and Irengbam Dhabalo (40).
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, H Bimolata, wife of Suresh, said that her husband was abducted by some people in black clothes from her house today at around 11.30 am.
"Shortly after the abduction we came to know that the abductors were members of a youth group called Arambai Tenggol from their  Facebook page," she narrated and claimed that her husband and the other person were handed over to Irilbung police  by some people.
Asking why her husband was abducted, Bimolata maintained that there is a Court and police to judge if 'my husband did wrongs.'
She went on to claim that Suresh didn't do anything which will ruin others while he was a Pradhan and claimed that there might be some political collusion as Suresh is preparing to contest in the ZP election.
One Irengbam Priyokumar claimed that  Irengbam Dhabalo was   handed over to the police after being thrashed by a group led by Keirao  AC MLA Lourembam Rameshwor.
The MLA, however, refuted the charges as he claimed that he went to Wangkhem to stop a fight.
There is no such thing as abduction, he claimed.
