YAS to start 40th batch of Regular Coaching Course soon

IMPHAL, Mar 31 : The Department of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) is set to commence its 40th batch of 6-month Regular  Coaching Course for 26 sports disciplines soon.
The sports disciplines for which the coaching will be conducted include Athletics, Archery, Aquatics (8 to 18 years), Boxing, Bodybuilding, Cycling, Canoe and Kayaking, Fencing, Football (U-12, U-14, U-16 and above), Gymnastics (6 to 10 years), Handball, Hockey, Judo, Rowing, Sepak Takraw, Shooting, Thang-Ta, Taekwondo, Volleyball, Wrestling, Wushu, Weightlifting, Kho-Kho/Kabaddi, Basketball, Table Tennis and Badminton.
Intending players may collect admission forms from the office of the Director of YAS between 10.30 am to 3 pm and from concerned coaches from 6.30 am to 9 am on all working days, said a release issued by Director YAS.
The last date of submission is April 10, the release said while adding that only 80 players in each discipline will be enrolled for the coaching course.
In respect of Football (boys and girls), a selection test will be conducted  by concerned coaches after completion of form submission, it added.
