THOUBAL, May 23: Maharaj Gambhir Singh Memorial Committee, Chandrapur, Cachar, Assam; Manipuri Youth Front of Assam and United People's Front Manipur organised the foundation stone laying ceremony of a memorial pillar for Manipur Levy at Manipur Levy Ground, Chandrapur, Cachar today.
Dignitaries present at the foundation stone laying ceremony include Reena Singh, chairperson, Manipuri Development Council; Thangjam Brojen, president, MYFA; Keisam Bidyapati, president, Maharaj Gambhir Singh Memorial Committee; Dr KN Chand, Manipuri Language Protection Co-ordination Committee (MLPCC); T Rehan Uddin, vice president, Assam Manipuri Muslim Youth Front; Beni Mishra, president, Assam Manipuri Meira Paibi Apunba Lup and G Lakhikanta Sharma, president Manipuri Bhaman Mahasabha as the presidium members.
Speaking in this connection, Yumnam Indrababu, advisor, Maharaj Gambhir Singh Memorial Committee shared that the memorial pillar will be unveiled on December 23, 2023.
