MOIRANG, May 26 : At least two persons sustained injuries in Bishnupur today as they got hit by tear gas shells fired by police. The injured have been identified as Thingujam Lupobati Devi (60), w/o Joykumar from Bishnupur Ward no 5 and Moirangthem Jiten (54) of Nachou Ward no 6.
It is reported that a large number of enraged people came to vandalise the BJP office of Bishnupur near Nachou Panthong for the Government's failure to control the situation and protect lives and properties.
The police, however, dispersed the protesters by firing rounds of tear gas shells.
