One-month training with production on folk and classical dance kicks off

JIRIBAM, May 28: Inunganbi Manipuri Dance Academy, Jiribam organised the inaugural ceremony to kick off "One month training with production on folk and classical dance" at the training hall of the academy located at Dibong, Jiribam.
It may be noted that the one month training an production program was launched under the Chief Minister gi Artiste Singgi Tengbang 2022- 2023 scheme under the supervision of the Department of Art & Culture, Manipur.
The inaugural event was attended by S Maniton Singh, retired principal Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Dr Chandam Kamal Singh, president, Inunganbi Manipuri Dance Academy, Jiribam as the chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking in this connection, Dr Chandam Kamal stressed on the importance of art forms such as dance and song and other fields such as sports and encouraged youths to pursue song and dance at the academy alongside their studies to promote the culture of Manipur.
